For tea drinkers the caffeine level may be reduce by doing some consideration in the preparation of the tea. When it comes to the tea leaves you will use you should get to know them to know the level of caffeine in it. The more mature the leaves the lower is the caffeine level meaning if you use young leaves then the caffeine is in its high level. Also leaves grown in shades has high caffeine unlike leaves exposed to the sun more. Going to the process of preparation, you should not drink and instead throw the first infusion of the tea you made. This is because 80 percent of the caffeine is being extract in the first infusion which means the first infusion has a high level of caffeine compared to the next infusions. Tea leaves are also recommended since it has less concentration compared to teabags.
The length of time spent also in the steeping of the leaves is a factor to the amount of caffeine released by the leaves. It is also suggested that leaves be steeped in a small teapot as the leaves haul out more of its caffeine when steeping is done in a big pot. Teas have also low level of caffeine while it is hot so you better drink it while it is hot.
Caffeine in tea also depends on the kind of tea you are doing. Caffeine is good, you just have to remember to monitor the amount of intake you are having. You may count the tea you are drinking but caffeine is also available to other food and beverage available in the market so you have to appoint an eye for that.
